SilverCloud is an online cognitive behavioural therapy that offers a range of programmes designed to help you understand more about your current difficulties before walking you through useful techniques based on CBT.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a structured and focused intervention that aims to help you achieve goals. CBT is based on the idea that the way we feel is affected by our thoughts, beliefs and by how we behave. Rather than concentrating on the past causes of your difficulties, CBT focuses on problems in the ‘here and now’ and teaches you how to use practical approaches to improve how you are feeling.
If cCBT is recommended, you will be provided with a secure account for SilverCloud and a support worker who will monitor your progress throughout your programme, provide guidance and encouragement via regular reviews. SilverCloud is accessible from any device that has an internet connection at any time of the day meaning you can work through at your own pace. You are encouraged to complete a 30-40 minute session once a week over an 8-10 week period.
